It’s finally here; the long awaited baby registry!
Do you know how hard it is to create a registry? Really hard. The internet is so vast that even if you know what items you want on the registry you still have to research the best or most compatible for your life. There’s a whole world of products out here!
Twenty years ago, when I had my first child, all I did was walk through Babies “R” Us using the scan gun to select the items that caught my eye. Now, I have to research how each item is made… is it environmentally friendly? What are the 3-star reviews saying? Should I go with a trusted company or the innovative start up brand? How easy it is to setup/install/breakdown?
But finally, I’ve read all the reviews, scoured the mommy blogs, asked friends, and on and on. It’s complete. Here are a couple of notes about how to interpret the registry:
- Everything that is on the registry is intentional. It is not all encompassing for a new baby. There are items Lucious and I want the pleasure of shopping for ourselves, so we left them off.
- I know, baby stuff is so cute! But when you see that adorable onesie in Target you just LOOOVEE….please don’t. Even if you get a gift receipt, refrain from purchasing anything that is not on the registry. Returning unwanted or duplicate items can be a hassle.
- What to do if all the “good gifts” are purchased? Below is a link to our preferred gift card. Any amount is greatly appreciated! Also, there is a wish list of items that are always nice to have!
